COVID-19 - What We’re Doing to Keep Snowdon Chalet Motel Guests & Team Members Safe
For more than 59 years, Snowdon Chalet Motel has been synonymous with clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation whenever taking the road less traveled here in Southern Vermont. During these difficult and unprecedented times, we remain a welcoming place of rest, and our number one priority continues to be the health and safety of all our guests and team members Jen and Dom.
2021 UPDATE: As of May 15, 2021 both Jen and Dom are FULLY VACCINATED!! #TeamModerna
Check-In: We have set up a Check-In station just outside of the office area on the deck. We’ll need to verify that you meet current Vermont Travel Restrictions with either your CDC Vaccination Card or your 3 day prior negative covid test from your state and to sign a Vermont Certificate of Compliance. Pens and clipboards and desk area are sanitized after EACH USE.
Social Distancing: We ask guests to respect CDC recommended social distancing guidelines and maintain a six feet distance when checking into our motel and moving throughout our common areas. The Vermont Health Department recommends that all Vermonters and VISITORS wear cloth face coverings when outside of the home to help slow the spread of COVID-19. A cloth face covering helps you protect others around you if you are infected and don’t know it. https://vem.vermont.gov/covid19/facecovering
MASKS OUTDOORS: Last Updated: May 5, 2021
When you are outdoors, masks are only required when you are in a crowd or with multiple other households where you can’t maintain a 6-foot distance. Follow this guidance whether you are vaccinated or not. Read about mask requirements in Vermont.
DISRUPTION OF SERVICE:
HOUSEKEEPING: During this time, please be aware that we have suspended daily housekeeping service unless requested. We will assist with trash removal and provide fresh towels and sheets PER REQUEST. Per State guidelines we are limiting our access to occupied rooms. We will not enter a room when a guest is in the room.
Some of our amenities such as complimentary coffee & Ice, and our continental breakfast in our lobby have been suspended.
CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST / COFFEE SERVICE: Our 'breakfast' now is more of a TO-GO option. We'll leave a coffee carafe on the table outside your door. Let us know if you would like hot water/decaf instead of coffee. We have small individual bags with assorted breakfast items that will be delivered to your room. *Breakfast items may change. These measures are in place to ensure social distancing and minimize contact between our team members and guests. Coffee & Tea service starts at 7 am until 9 am.
Snowdon Clean: Our Team Members (Jen & Dom) were germaphobes before the COVID-19 outbreak. We ALWAYS washed/disinfected door handles, TV remotes, light switches and commonly touched surfaces including key fobs after EVERY stay. We are extremely proud of our 9.2 Cleanliness Rating on Booking .com. Here at Snowdon we have a commercial laundry service for all our towels and bed linens, those always are changed after every stay. We have also increased washing all quilts and blankets after each stay. Guest rooms are ‘aired out’ with windows and storm doors open for 24 hours, then we go in and clean, then sanitize everything before renting the room out again. This is over and beyond what the State of Vermont is requiring, but we love clean rooms.
We are so grateful to you, our guests. We appreciate your business and continued support, and we look forward to see you soon and invite you to come and stay with us whenever taking the road less traveled and need some fresh Vermont air.
Rest assured that we are still here to help you in any way we can! That’s what we’ve proudly done for 5 years and what is part of the reason a stay at the Snowdon Chalet Motel is special!
Please contact the motel directly should you have any questions related to your stay.
